Housing and Installation Concept for Hose Scale Sensors
The surveying company Bogensberger supports the construction of the new subway lines U2/U5 in Vienna with geomonitoring systems. In addition to digital laser sensor systems, high-precision digital hydrostatic level sensors are used to ensure that no unwanted settlements or heaves occur in (infrastructure) structures during the construction process.
To protect these sensors from environmental influences - such as those found in sewer systems (flooding, humidity, feces, chemicals, foreign objects, etc.) - over the long term, we developed a specialized housing system.

UX Study – Monitoring system
Background
The development of the housing system posed significant challenges.
In sewer environments, sensitive technology designed for long-term use must withstand a range of mechanical and chemical stresses, operate in extremely confined spaces, and allow for difficult installation conditions.
A central requirement of the housing concept was, therefore, to simplify the on-site installation process as much as possible.
