Laser Sensor Housing
The surveying company Bogensberger supports the construction of Vienna’s new U2/U5 subway lines with geomonitoring systems. In addition to digital hose level sensors, newly developed laser sensor systems are also in use.
To protect these high-precision sensors from environmental factors and construction site hazards, we developed a specialized housing. The distinctive design adds multiple layers of value: it simplifies installation, improves data transmission, maximizes visibility, and gives the system a unique and recognizable appearance.

Background
Settlements or heaves, especially during construction work involving existing structures, pose significant business risks. Monitoring systems provide continuous and automated measurements to detect any movement in surrounding buildings or infrastructure. When threshold values are exceeded, automated alerts are sent to project stakeholders.
A rotating laser defines a reference level. If any of the eight installed sensors rise or fall relative to this level, immediate action can be taken.
